CO-WRECKER by Meghan Quinn: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review

Blurb:

What do ice cream and Sadie Montgomery have in common? They’re both ice cold, but one taste is never enough.
I wanted to be friends — I would have even settled for her seeing me as anything but a nerd — but there was no getting through. So just like any hard-headed, red-blooded man out there, I made up my mind.
I’d make my coworker fall for me.
I’d like to say it was simple, but like every other epic love story, all it took was one drunken night and a lot of naked courage to get the girl. For a moment, at least.
Love with a coworker is never simple, especially since Sadie’s trying to keep us on the low. Not to mention her persistent ex-boyfriend who won’t leave her alone. But I’ve never been good at giving up, and I don’t plan to start now.
The whole thing is a recipe for a rocky road, but I plan to eat the whole gallon, no matter how bad the brain freeze.

– 5 stars –

This was my first read from this author and I definitely fell in love with her writing. Meghan Quinn delivered a funny, sexy, and raw feeling story that captured me within the very first chapter. It made me laugh out loud and shed some tears.
We meet Andrew who has moved states after an incident that is referred to as ‘The Ordeal’ from his previous college. Having a new job that doesn’t pay with fudge and hugs he is, to say the least, excited. There he meets his not so very enthusiastic co-worker Sadie. After literally slipping and landing into her “sturdy blossom” he is definitely not her favorite. But one thing about Andrew is he like challenges and Sadie is one he will win. Sweet, nerdy, funny, quirky, sexy, swoon-worthy Andrew. Ugh. He was just so perfect. He does not have flaws. He made me laugh out loud so many times. He made me shiver with his dirty words. And in the end made me fall in love with him. Men should take notes from this guy.
Now, Sadie. Sadie has dealt with enough crap in her life that has made her bitter and angry at the world. So when she has to train her new co-worker she is not very happy. And after basically motorboating her tits. Yeah. Andrew was not her favorite. But then Andrew being Andrew. He made her warm up to him and she couldn’t deny how cute and funny he was. He broke all her barriers and was able to make forget everything and made her feel alive after feeling dead for so long. Then feelings changed. Hearts were broken. Feelings were hurt. Rule number one in the workplace: Don’t fall in love with your co-worker because then they become your co-wrecker. My feelings for Sadie were everywhere. Sometimes I wanted to go inside the book and give her a few slaps. Sometimes I wanted to hug her because I felt her pain. She was just so lost that it took her a long time to finally find herself. She was also funny and easy to love.
This book has comedy and let me tell you. This book was hilarious. You get so many interesting and unique characters. Saddlemire and Smilly were also very funny. Like any time they would be in a scene you know they are just going to make you laugh. I also admired the way they were protective and loving of Sadie. It had its sad moments which I definitely cried. It had its sexy parts as well. I love unique stories and this story was really unique. Definitely a favorite for this year.
