Crux Untamed (Hades Hangmen #6) by Tillie Cole: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ARC Review

A broken woman.
A damaged man.
A free spirit intent on saving them both.

Elysia ‘Sia’ Willis lives a solitary life. The only person in it is her big brother, Ky, vice-president of the infamous Hades Hangmen. She loves him, but she has absolutely no love for the outlaw MC he belongs to.
Raised in secret by her mother, Sia grew up separated from her brother and distant father. No one knew she even existed.

After the tragic murder of her mother, Sia spiraled into a rebellion against the rules of the Hangmen. A rebellion with dire consequences that now, years later, she still can’t escape.

As she lives once again in secret, happy on her own at her secluded ranch, a devil from her past comes calling. A devil who wants to possess her once again and take her from the simple life she never wants to lose.
And he will stop at nothing to collect what he believes is his: her.

Valan ‘Hush’ Durand and Aubin ‘Cowboy’ Breaux have finally found a home in the mother chapter of the Hangmen. The notoriously private Cajun twosome have, for now, put aside what chased them from their beloved Louisiana. But as threats toward the club build, Hush and Cowboy are given a task—protect Elysia Willis at all costs. Cowboy welcomes the job of watching over the blond-haired, blue-eyed beauty.
Hush fights against it.
Scarred by events from his past and a secret that plagues his everyday life, Hush refuses to let anyone else get close. Only Cowboy knows the real him. Until a certain sister of the club’s VP begins to slowly knock down his defenses, shattering the heavily built walls that guard his damaged soul . . . with his best friend leading the charge.

As lost and open hearts begin to meld, taking each other from indescribable pain to the never-before felt relief of peace, the newly-mended threesome must first endure one more rocky path.
Only then will they finally shake free of the shackles of their pasts.
Only then will they shed the bonds that have for too long held their happiness captive.
And there is only one way to survive that path . . . together.

Dark Contemporary MFM Romance. Contains scenes of violence and explicit sexual situations. Over 18’s only.

Since the first time I read this series I absolutely fell in love with it! It’s such an amazing series and each book just makes it better and better, to be honest.

“But I could see it with Sia. I could see her with us. They were both so broken and damaged, but I wanted to be there for them. With them.”

So in book 6 we learn Sia, Cowboys, and Hush’s story. Sia is ordered by Ky to move with her to the compound for fear of her past coming back for her. It’s not if but when and Ky wants to be ready. Sia has always felt like she didn’t belong with the Hangmen for all her life and especially now. She can’t relate to the other ladies and is really having a hard time being away from her home, her safe-place with her horses. She goes against Ky like the fiery, sassy, bad ass woman she is. Ky agrees but only if one of the Hangmen keeps watch in her and her property. Sia chooses both Cowboy and Hush to keep watch on her because for some reason she feels safe and protected with them. Right away there’s attraction. Not just to one but both. As they spend more time together stories are revealed, secrets are told, and passion is ignited. The three all find a connection like never before and they will do anything and go against anyone who tries to destroy that.

“It was Cowboy. His smiles. His kind heart. And it was Hush. The mysterious closed-off man that I yearned to unlock.”

Some people read that it is a three person relationship and will automatically judge but trust me their story is one to read. This book is so passionate, heart-breaking, and you will instantly fall in love with it. Hush and Cowboy are similar but yet so different. Each need each-other and would not be able to live without one another. Sia loves both of them equally, none more than the other. I loved their relationship. Each book has the characters so different from each other with different stories and unique characters which makes the series so good. Tillie Cole has the power to make you see what you are reading. I felt like it was a movie I was watching behind my eyes.

This book had issues of race, feeling guilt, feeling loneliness, and wanting revenge. I am so happy that this series is for the long-run and we will have many many more stories. I cannot wait for Tanner’s and Viking’s book. We are also introduced to new characters which you will LOVE like I did. Please, give this book a chance.

Ego Maniac by Vi Keeland: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Review

The night I met Drew Jagger, he’d just broken into my new Park Avenue office.
I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills.
He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing.

Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant.
Only, turned out, he wasn’t an intruder at all.

Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He’d been on vacation while his posh space was renovated.
Which was how a scammer got away with leasing me office space that wasn’t really available for rent.
I was swindled out of ten grand.

The next day, after hours at the police station, Drew took pity on me and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. In exchange for answering his phones while his secretary was out, he’d let me stay until I found a new place.
I probably should have acted grateful and kept my mouth shut when I overheard the advice he was spewing to his clients. But I couldn’t help giving him a piece of my mind.
I never expected my body to react every time we argued. Especially when that was all we seemed to be able to do.

The two of us were complete opposites. Drew was a bitter, angry, gorgeous-as-all-hell, destroyer of relationships. And my job was to help people save their marriages.
The only thing the two of us had in common was the space we were sharing.
And an attraction that was getting harder to deny by the day.

*4 stars*

After being in the longest book funk I needed to find a book that made me get into reading again. This book did the job. Egomaniac was touching, sexy, and just overall enjoyable.

We get a dual pov of psychologist Emerie Rose and lawyer Drew Jagger. Both of these characters could not have been more opposite. Emerie is blue-eyed red-haired psychologist who has to share office space with who she calls an egomaniac lawyer Drew. After their a confusing first encounter, Drew seems to warm and want to help Emerie for some reason he can’t yet figure out. While spending every day together it’s pretty hard to ignore the chemistry, so they decide to help echother out. Of course, that never works and feelings developed. There are surprises and heartbreaks but in the end you get the ending you wanted.

“When he slipped into bed next to me, I wrapped my arms around him tight. Maybe, just maybe, neither one of us had found the right one before now…because we hand’t met each other yet.”

This book was really great. It was really easy to read and you really enjoy the story. It has many sexy parts that I loved as well as sweet and heartbreaking moments. I devoured this book in two days and absolutely obsessed over Drew Jagger.

“Cute. You want to angry fuck? I’m more than willing to accommodate right now.”

“Alan is waiting for you.”

“Alan can listen to you scream my name while I bury my cock inside you.”

Pretty hot, amiright?? lol

Dark Protector by Celia Aaron: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review

From the author of Blackwood comes a new mafia romance.

From the moment I saw her through the window of her flower shop, something other than darkness took root inside me. Charlie shone like a beacon in a world that had long since lost any light. But she was never meant for me, a man that killed without remorse and collected bounties drenched in blood.
I thought staying away would keep her safe, would shield her from me. I was wrong. Danger followed in my wake like death at a slaughter house. I protected her from the threats that circled like black buzzards, kept her safe with kill after kill.

But everything comes with a price, especially second chances for a man like me.

Killing for her was easy. It was living for her that turned out to be the hard part.

Author’s Note: This is a full-length romance novel. It’s not a super-dark read, no trigger warning. Explicit violence and hot sex included. HEA, no cheating.

* 4 stars *

I absolutely loved this book. It was action packed. It had great chemistry between the characters. There was a bit of humor. Lots of sexiness.

Connor Mercer is a hit man. Charlie is a florist. Absolutely nothing in common. But that doesn’t deter Con from watching the beauty behind her shop window. Not until Charlie sees who Con truly is. Now Charlie is in danger and now more than ever Con has to protect her. Charlie can’t fight her attraction towards her dark protector. Fire is ignited and chemistry is undenied. These two will fight tooth and nails to be together.
If you want a story of a florist and a hitman and want to know how that works out definitely read Dark Protector.
P.s. I need a story for Nate. I loved him.

Damnable Grace (Hades Hangmen #5) by Tillie Cole: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ARC Review

Secrets never stay hidden.

The burden of guilt never lifts from the heart.
Born and raised in The Order of David, Sister Phebe knows nothing but cult life. Head of the Sacred Sisters of New Zion, Phebe was groomed from childhood for one purpose: to seduce. Prized as a harlot, as a New Zion whore, Phebe is taken from the doomed cult by Meister, the notorious leader of the Aryan Brotherhood. Taken as his possession. Taken to be the woman who will obey his every sexual demand. Under his heavy hand, Phebe finds herself in a place much worse than she could ever have imagined… with absolutely no one to help. And no glimpse of hope.
Xavier ‘AK’ Deyes is content with his life as Sergeant-At-Arms of the Hades Hangmen. Leader of the infamous ‘Psycho Trio’ and ex-special ops sniper, AK knows how to fight. Experienced in warfare and schooled in military operations, AK is vital to the Hangmen. When his Vice President needs help retrieving his missing sister-in-law, Phebe, from a Klan-funded trafficking ring, AK volunteers to go in. AK remembers the red-head from New Zion. Remembers everything about her from the single time they met—her red hair, blue eyes and freckled face. But when he finds her, heavily drugged and under Meister’s control, her sorry condition causes him to remember more than the beautiful woman he once tied to a tree. Saving Phebe forces hidden demons from his past to return. A past he can never move on from, no matter how hard he tries.
As AK fights to help Phebe, and in turn she strives to help him, they realize their secret sins will never leave them alone. Kindred broken souls, they realize the only way they can be rid of their ghosts is to face them together and try to find peace.
Despair soon turns to hope, and damaged hearts soon start to heal. But when their deep, painful scars resurface, becoming too much to bear, the time comes when they must make a heavy choice: stay forever damned; or together, find grace.

Dark Contemporary Romance. Contains explicit sexual situations, violence, disturbingly sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language and very mature topics. Recommended for age 18 and over.

***NOT a standalone. MUST be read as part of The Hades Hangmen Series***

* 5 Red & AK stars *

There are no amount of stars to rate this book. Tillie kills it. Every. Single. Time. The Hangmen series is my all time favorite mc series and just series overall. It’s like a tv show that you just hope never ends. And it makes me so happy that Tillie plans to continue it for as long.

Now to the review. I’m going to try to make it as subtle as possible as to not spoil it.

This series does have to be read in order. You don’t want to miss anything.
I have been waiting for AK’s book ever since he was introduced. & when he first met Phebe I just knew there was definitely going to be a story there. What I didn’t know was that their story was going to be one of heartbreak, rawness, and of feeling lost. But just like every story in the end there is happiness. And I can say that I’m glad these two broken people were able to find each other and bring them something they never knew they would find.
When Tillie writes a dark book, best believe it will be dark. At some points I was like “O.M.G. Like why??” But I love that she was able to truly make it as real as possible and make you feel the evil that was met. Like full on make you feel goosebumps. Truly a mastermind.
There are so many secrets revealed as well as some more background on many characters. We even meet some new ones that you will hate with everything in your soul and others that will win you over easily.
This book made me cry, angry, sad, laugh, yearn, and many more. Definitely an emotional roller coaster, but one that I would love to get on and on again.
Hats off to Tilly. I will beg on my hands and knees for you to NEVER finish this series. This is like the holy grail for me. I can’t wait wait for the many more to come.
If you have a chance to read this series do it. You will fall in love deeply. Even if it’s not for you just try it out. I promise it will be the best thing ever. (less)

Riptide by Kathryn Nolan: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ARC Review

Avery Dacosta never expected to find a protester in front of her office.
Especially not now, when she’s this close to achieving a professional milestone years in the making: building a luxury hotel on Playa Vieja, San Diego’s untouched beach paradise.
Finn Travis, local surfer and all-around nice guy, never expected to find himself the leader of Playa Vieja’s resistance. He’s more of a mellow tree-hugger than a radical activist. Except Avery’s hotel threatens to destroy the place he loves the most. For the first time in his life, Finn decides to use his charisma for more than just attracting his next fling.
Avery’s worked too hard to let a bongo-playing hippie like Finn shatter her perfect future. And his naive idealism grates on her every nerve.
She’s not alone in her loathing: Finn thinks Avery is a greedy, corporate robot.
As Avery and Finn crash together like waves against the shore, their debates become heated. Sexy. Dirty.
But the riptide of their attraction jeopardizes more than just their ideological values. Can Avery and Finn be together without giving up what they care about the most?

* 5 sexy surfer stars *
After reading Cuffed by Kathryn Nolan I instantly fell in love with her. But after reading Riptide? Well, let’s just say I wanna marry her. With all jokes aside, I really do love this author. She is unique, amazingly talented, and I will literally read anything she writes forever.
I took my time reading Riptide because I didn’t want it to end. I knew this story would be unique and special in a way. I wanted to soak up everything and fall into Avery and Finn’s world. Which I did and didn’t want to leave it to be honest. Their story felt real and raw and was truly unique. Kathryn did an incredible job creating a setting and mood that made me want to listen to Bob Marley while laying on the beach feeling the wind that was creating the waves.
Avery Dacosta spends sleepless nights and stressful days working for the Bella View Hotel. Her goal is to score the promotion that will set her for life. The hotel chain is trying to set up a new one on Playa Vieja ,that by doing so, would bring tourists and money. But Avery will meet a challenge in the form of a broad shouldered, sexy, hippy/surfer named Finn Travis. Finn is definitely not happy with money-grubbing Avery trying to build a hotel in the place he forever considered his home. So, he decides to stand outside her workplace every day with his people to protest. This obviously grates Avery’s nerves. They obviously don’t like each other but what they don’t know is that they are more similar than different. Their relationship starts off with feelings of hate towards each other and arguments but will later be filled with undeniable chemistry and in the end choices will have to be made and ideas changed.
I loved both characters very much so. Avery was independent, strong, and smart mouthed. Definitely a challenge for Finn who is a sexy hippy, free minded, talented surfer. I didn’t know on whose side I wanted to be on because they both were just so right and passionate with their beliefs and arguments. I loved that. Their chemistry was also very unmistakable. I mean you could feel the angst from both characters. And when they gave in fireworks were exploded and magic was felt. Kathryn is a master of creating smutty scenes that will make you burn.
I can say that this book is my favorite up to date and a favorite of this year. I absolutely loved this story and give an A++. Please when this book releases do yourself a favor and read it. Do it. Do it. Do it.

Ransom: Aces & Eights MC (Book 1): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ARC Review

Blood by birth – Brothers by choice

Aces & Eights Motorcycle Club is all they’ve known for the past twelve years. They live hard, bound by the code of brotherhood.

Liam Fox: Vice President of Aces & Eights
Height: six foot one inch

Hair color: dark brown

Eye color: brown

Alias: Lo

Rory Fox: Sergeant at Arms of Aces & Eights
Height: six foot one inch

Hair color: dark brown

Eye color: hazel

Alias: Knuckles

The ladies know them as: Dominant males to submissive females, erotic, dirty talking, alpha male, bad boy, lumberjacks of all trades with no known accidental pregnancies or babies with the last name Fox.

Just kidding…
What they’re really known for is riding, fighting, whiskey and women. With the brotherhood, they never have to standalone.
Aces & Eights is about to face their toughest enemy and play out the Dead Man’s hand.

* 4 stars *

This book was really good. It was sexy like really sexy, angsty, and filled with brotherhood love. This book is stereotypical a bit. It’s an MC that deals in trading guns, owns a strip clue, and the antagonist is from a rival gang. But… the authors do deliver a great story.
It is dual pov. The characters are brothers and are the oldest of a total of six brothers. After their mother is murdered by an unknown man, all six join the Aces and Eights MC. Now they deal in trading guns as well as owning their stripper club. The Fox brothers are really close and very loving and protective of each other. If someone messes with one of them, they mess with all of them.
Liam and Rory are hungover their first loves. Liam is after Fallon who is the presidents daughter. He thinks he is and can never be good enough for her. He keeps his distance but doesn’t mean someone else can have her. Rory is after Audrey who is a member of their rival gang The Devil’s Way. They have history. But now she’s the enemy.
I did love this story. The timeline was perfect. The action. The characters. The chemistry. I can’t wait for Finns’ story next because that is gonna be good.

Daddy’s Here by Lucy Wild: ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 ARC Review

My father thinks I’m going to marry the wimp he’s chosen. I’ve got news for him. I am out of here.

When the girl vanished, I was hired to bring her back. It was just another job. Until I found out the real reason why she ran.
The rebellious daughter…

The plan was simple. Stay out of sight and out of reach. Then he found me. Now I’m trapped with a brute who refuses to let me out of his sight.
The hired muscle…

If I don’t take her home, I’m a dead man. So why did I just grab her? And why am I pushing her down onto her knees?
A standalone dark romance novel with no cliffhangers, no cheating and a guaranteed HEA.

* 3 1/2 stars *

This was my first story by this author. I am a sucker for Daddy characters. While there was a little and daddy vibe. It took a while to happen, like literally to the end of the story for IT to happen. Which made me a bit disappointed. While I did enjoy the story I felt like something was missing. I didn’t really feel chemistry between the characters. I did like the fast pacing of it though. I felt like maybe there should have been a bit more bang to the plot. The characters were unique as well as the story. I would recommend this as a quick read with dd/lg play and about a bit of a mob vibe. I would still like to read more from this author.
